Children’s Day & Me

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Arjun Padegaonkar and I’m 11 years old.

I have been in India during my playschool days, and I still remember celebrating Children’s Day there — though only a little! I was very small, and my memories are a bit blurry, like when you try to watch TV with bad Wi-Fi. 😄

When I was about 4½ years old, I came to Germany, and here too I got to celebrate Kinder Tag once. It wasn’t in school but in a big community park. There were so many fun games, music, and yummy food. I still remember running around with other kids and having the best time! 🎉

Now that I’m a little older, I think we kids deserve one special day just for us. Yes, every day is special in its own way — but one day that’s all about kids feels extra amazing! It’s like having a world holiday for fun, laughter, and being ourselves. 🌈

I love to play table tennis — it makes me feel super quick, like I have lightning reflexes! ⚡️ And when I’m not smashing ping-pong balls, I’m busy saving galaxies and winning battles in video games. 🎮 (Okay, sometimes I lose, but it’s always because of “lag,” obviously! 😜)

Whenever I travel to a new place, I love to collect souvenir coins. 💰 They remind me of all the places I’ve been and the fun memories I’ve made. I also love to collect Pokémon cards and trade them with my friends — sometimes I even get super lucky and find a rare one! 🎴✨

When I want to relax, I read books, listen to music, and sometimes I just sing and dance for fun. It makes me feel happy and free — like the whole world is my stage! 🎤

Children’s Day reminds me how lucky we are to have time to play, laugh, dream, and be ourselves. So here’s to all the kids everywhere — from India to Germany and beyond — may our games be fun, our snacks unlimited, and our holidays long!

Happy Children’s Day to all of us! 🥳
